Description

At the arrival to the Plitvice Lakes national park, your guide will take care of the tickets and suggest an optimal route, depending on the circumstances in the park and your schedule. Usually, the first part of the guided tour takes you to the Upper Lakes, a mesmerising collection of emerald-coloured lakes and fairy-tale waterfalls.
As you gently move along the raised boardwalks, new vistas will appear.
The pleasant boat ride across Lake Kozjak will invigorate you and allow you to have some snacks or just simply admire the views.
The Lower Lakes, with their turquoise colour, climax at the so-called Big Waterfall, a perfectplace to make memorable photos.
As you leave the park, your guide-driver will recommend a place to stop for lunch or early dinner, and determine the exact time of arrival to your destination, either in Split or in Rovinj, so you could let your hotel know when you are expected to arrive. Finally, your driver will drop you off at your hotel or as close as possible to your
accommodation (if it’s in a restricted pedestrian zone).

Please keep in mind that most routes in the National Park require a moderate fitness level. In other words, there are flights of steps, uneven surfaces, and dirt trails. On average, you can expect to make some 10,000 steps and make your health app happy.
If you have health issues or other questions, kindly let us know about it in advance. Alternative routes are possible even for travellers with health impediments.
Make sure to bring appropriate shoes and clothes, including a jacket. Weather at the Plitvice Lakes is unpredictable and afternoon showers are common, even in summer. Also, the temperatures are lower than at the coast.
