What languages are your tours available in?
All our tour guides and drivers speak English. Pricing for private tours on our website includes licensed English-speaking guides. If you would like a tour in another language, such as Spanish, Dutch, Italian, German, or French, we are happy to accommodate your request. Simply contact us, and we will do our best to arrange a tour guide fluent in your preferred language.
Are your tours organized throughout the whole year?
We organize private land tours thought the whole year, while the boat tours are organized within period 1st May until 30th October.
What kind of boat you use for boat tours?
Our island tours are organized with comfortable speedboats which enable us to visit several islands in one day. Private tours are organized with yacht Jeanneau Prestige 34 and open speed boat Jeanneau Cap Camarat 7,5 CC.
Who will be my tour guide?
While we can’t tell you who your tour leader is prior to departure, we can tell you they will be awesome. Our tour guides are experts in their regions, some because they’ve been travelling there for years, others because they’re local to the region and can’t wait to show you around. On some tours you may also have expert local guide for that destination.
Are you familiar with each guide and can we be assured that they speak English well?
All our tour guides are carefully selected, trained, educated and all certified by Croatia Tourism Administration and therefore fluent in English. They are also our full time employees.
Why should I provide my mobile phone contact number as it is very expensive to use it abroad?
It is very important for us to have your contact phone number. We will only contact you in case of emergency, if we can not find you on the pick up location etc.
Which items should I bring with me on your tours?
For each of the tours on our website, we have a section with useful tips where you can find information regarding what to wear, items to bring, etc.
Do you have enough space on your vehicle to store my luggage while on the tour?
You are welcome to bring your luggage on our land tours, but please make sure to advise our travel consultants when booking about your intention and the size of your luggage.
Are there age restrictions on your trips?
For the majority of our trips there is no age limit. However, private tour to Blue Cave and Hvar is not recommended for children under 3 years old.
Do you provide international airfares?
Portal travel agency does not arrange airfare to or from Croatia because it is generally cheaper for you to book your flights directly with the airlines. If you need some advice or help our travel consultants can help you.
Can you help arrange my travel visas?
Requirements for travel visas vary widely depending on your nationality and your destination. We are unable to arrange visas on your behalf, so we recommend to visit official websites of countries you wish to visit that will help you determine if visas are required. If you do require a visa you can arrange them yourself or use the services of a travel agent or visa processing company.
Can I cancel my reservation of a tour in case of expected bad weather conditions?
Our cancellation policy guests can find under section Terms and Conditions on our website. All our land tours have guaranteed departures no matter the weather conditions expected that day. However, the boat tours are highly dependent on weather conditions and organized only when they are suitable for a safe speedboat ride, in that case we reserve the right to cancel the tour due to safety.
Are there child car seats available in your vehicles?
We provide childseats on our privaet tours, but guests are kindly asked to inform us when booking about the child’s age, so that we can secure proper dimension of child seats.
Are there any meals or drinks included?
Meals and drinks are not included in the price of the tour on our tours.
Are pets allowed on your tours?
Pets unfortunately are not able to attend our tours.

What is the difference between Plitvice lakes National park and Krka National park?
If you are joining the tour from Split, Krka National park is closer than Plitvice lakes. Plitvice lakes are UNESCO world heritage site and are the most visited national park in Croatia, while Krka is the second most visited. You can swim in the Krka river by the Skradinski buk waterfall, while swimming in Plitvice lakes is strictly prohibited. The walking tour in Plitvice lakes, which includes tram and boat ride, is longer than the one in Krka National park.
How does tipping work in Croatia?
At the end of your trip, if you’re happy with the service you received, providing a tip for the staff – though not compulsory – is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it’s of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your tour, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry.
How difficult is the walk on the Plitvice Lakes National Park?
At this level you can expect moderate walks on maintained walking paths without the need for any technical requirements but with some minor obstacles. Walking time is around 4 hours with slight alterations in altitude.
Is there any free time during the group tour to Plitvice so that we can walk in the park on our own?
Tour at the Plitvice lakes National park includes walking, boat ride and panoramic train ride and takes approximately 4 hours. Unfortunately there is no free time provided in the park itself due to lack of time and huge area where you can easily get lost. On the tour you are accompanied by a knowledgeable tour guide who you follow around while he shows you all the sights you could miss walking by yourself.
How long is the ride to Plitvice lakes national park from Split?
The ride itself takes approximately 3 hours but your tour guide will do it’s best to entertain you with interesting stories from Croatia’s past and present so you don’t even feel the ride. We also make short stops during the ride to use the toilet and stretch you legs.
What is your route at Plitvice Lakes National park and do we visit the whole area?
Walking tour in the park takes approximately 4 hours, including boat and tram ride and you will visit both upper and lower lakes. Since there are many paths in the area, our guides tend to choose the most suitable one regarding the conditions on certain day.
Should I bring my swimming suite on your tour to Plitvice Lakes National park?
Please be advised that bathing or swimming in the Plitvice lakes is strictly prohibited.
Are the lakes in Plitvice Lakes dried out during summer?
No, lakes have water all year round.
Can I bring stroller for my child during the tour?
You can bring strollers on the tour, but we definitely do not suggest you to bring it in the national park due to uneven surfaces we walk on which makes it very hard for strollers and you would need to carry them around a lot. Please take in concern that baby carrier might be a much better option.
Can I bring my luggage on the tour?
As this is a tour including transfer between two destinations, we expect you to have your luggage with you and you are very welcome to bring it with you. It will be kept safely in our vehicles during your sightseeing tour so you do not have to worry about that while exploring the national park.
Where is the pick up and drop off location?
This tour offers DOOR-TO-DOOR transfer service – pick up and drop off at all main hotels and private accommodations reachable by the vehicle. When booking, please leave a comment regarding your accommodation addresses and if you need any help, just contact our agents. If your accommodation is located in a pedestrian zone where we do not have access, we will gladly send you instructions how to reach the nearest pick up point.
Does your tour include a boat ride at the national park?
According to your wishes, tour guide can adjust itinerary and includes boat ride without extra costs. Please note, that during the high season can be line to get to the boat, which can shorter your time in other loactions.
Is the entry fee to Cathedral of St. Jacob in Sibenik included?
Entrance fee to St. Jacob Cathedral is not included in the price of the tour to Krka National Park.
Where else can we have lunch beside the option offered?
If you don’t wish to have the offered option for lunch, you can either bring your own food or buy something in the park.
Where can we leave our belongings while swimming in Roški Slap area?
Unfortunately there are no locker rooms in the area, but we can say that so far our clients never had any bad experience regarding the thefts. However you can always leave your belongings on the bus which is locked all the time.
How much time we will have for swimming?
In the Krka national park you can swim only near waterfall Roški Slap. If is swimming your main point of interest, the tour guide will adjust the tour on that way, so that you will have plenty of time to enjoy swimming.
Do I need to bring my passport?
From the year 2023 Guests does not need passport when travel to Dubrovnik.
How much free time do we have in Dubrovnik and what can we do?
There is about 4 hours time to spend in Dubrovnik, among which is 1,5 hour walking tour with local guide and around 3 hours of your free time to climb up the city walls, visit one of the museums, take a cable car or just enjoy the lunch in the old city.
Why do I need to bring my passport?
Guests should have a valid travel document since Mostar is situated in our neighboring country Bosnia and Herzegovina. Please be advised that you are solely responsible for having valid documents during the tour.
Which currency is accepted in Bosnia and Herzegovina?
Official currency in Bosnia and Herzegovina is Convertible Mark (BAM), but most of the tourist places like souvenir shops and restaurants accept also payment in HRK and in EUR or even by credit card.
Do I have enough time to climb up the Apparition hill and attend the Holly Mass in Međugorje?
The Holly Mass is on schedule around 10am available in several languages. So if you start the tour earlier (recommended 7:30) you can attend the Holy Mass at 10am. In the afternoon you have time to climb up to Apparition Hill.
Can I swim and dive in the Blue Cave?
The Blue cave is protected, therefore swimming and diving are not allowed. The lenght of the time you will spend inside the cave is limited by the concessionaire, 15 minutes per boat.
Do you provide snorkeling gear?
You can use our snorkeling gear, just ask your captain to give it to you.
Is there an age limit for participating on this tour?
We consider that this tour is not appropriate for children under the age of 3. Moreover, the tour is not recommended for pregnant women and participants with serious back problems .
