This shore excursion can be tailored to fit your needs, preferences and circumstances. Keep in mind that, in order to attend Holy Mass in Medjugorje, you would need to depart from Split at the recommended time, or earlier.
People with walking disabilities or other health issues might want to carefully consider if the ascent to the Apparition Hill is within their ability. Alternatively, devoting more time to prayer and confession could be a wiser option.

Description
Your private tour guide/driver will meet you at the cruise ship port gate, carrying a sign with your name. He will make sure you have valid a valid passport, briefly describe the tour and drive you to Medjugorje by a luxury sedan or a minivan.
As you leave Split, b you will benefit from great views of Central Dalmatian islands, followed by spectacular Dalmatian mountains of Mosor and Biokovo. The Autobahn-style modern highway will make the journey extremely smooth and pleasant.
As you approach the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina, your guide/driver will introduce you to the country that was terribly affected by the war of Former Yugoslavia (1992-1996), but managed to rise from the ashes and become one of the most peaceful places in the world.
Once you cross the border, Medjugorje is just a 15-minutes-drive from the highway. Situated in the picturesque area of Herzegovina, full of vineyards and olive groves, Medjugorje has become one of the most popular places in the Balkans. - Assess reasonably your fitness level and your health before you decide to climb up the Apparition Hill. Take a hat and comfortable walking shoes, because the path is quite rocky and uneven.
- Follow closely your tour guide’s instructions. Although Medjugorje is not far from Split, any unnecessary delays might negatively affect the time of return to the cruise ship.
